Shopping in London!!

Ugh, I can’t believe it has been over 3 whole months since this amazing adventure and I also can’t believe I haven’t finished writing about it yet. ūüôĀ I am determined to finish before school starts again! Thursday, April 20th, 2017 My dad wanted to go see Parliment and so we did! We were even able to sit in on a House of Commons debate that was taking place. First off, the building itself is AMAZING. You think the outside is spectacular, then the inside will blow your mind. Again, the detail in everything just makes it that much better. […]

Back to the UK

Wednesday, April 19, 2017 Our flight left early in the morning so we packed up and headed out to catch a taxi. It was sad saying bye to Barcelona. I had so many amazing¬†experiences in the beautiful country of Spain and I¬†will definitely¬†be back. Looking back on the videos, when we took off from Barcelona we were on the coast and could see the beautiful water. Then, when we landed in London again, all you could see was green. Everywhere. Pastures and pastures of green because the airport was in the country. We then took the train to the city […]

Last Day in Spain

Hello all, I’m back. Sorry to leave you hanging¬†on the last days of our amazing trip. I got a little lazy and when we returned, reality hit hard. Moving is a VERY big task and takes lots of hard work with no getting to kick up your legs and finish a blog. After that, I¬†hit the ground running back into school and preparing for the AP Exam which includes hours and hours of studying. I am trying to write with every wee bit of time I can find¬†because I want to finish sharing the amazing experiences of the trip! So […]

A Day of Walking in Barcelona

Monday, April 17, 2017 Today’s highlights included La Sagrada Familia and lots of walking! La Sagrada Familia was probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! It’s a magnificent basilica made by Gaudi and it’s not even done yet. The builders plan is to be done by 2026 which is the millennium of¬†the death of Gaudi. There is so much detail and everything has meaning. We had bought audio guides so we got all the behind the scenes and extra info on the the construction and other insights. This was definitely the way to go because I wouldn’t have […]

Easter in Barcelona

Sunday, April 16, 2017 Happy Easter!!! This morning we decided to sleep in and it felt great! We wen to mass at 1 and the Cathedral of Barcelona. It was so pretty. We got there right on time so we had to sit in the back but we got to watch on monitors. It was hard to focus when all you wanted to do was look up and just stare above you at the AMAZING architecture. It was a beautiful mass to say the least. After, we went back to the apartment to change and put on some walking shoes. […]

Off to Barcelona

Saturday, April 15, 2017 My parents woke me up this morning because we wanted to make sure we had more than enough time to get to the airport and catch our flight. Finished up the last of our toaster waffles, oranges, and milk and started the trek to Stansted Airport (a different one than we arrived in). First we walked to the Tube station, took a Tube to the train station, and too the train to the airport. We finally got through security, which took longer because BOTH of Daniela’s bags were stopped because she didn’t take all the liquids […]

Exploring London

Friday, April 14, 2017 Woke up, ate some toaster waffles, an orange, and drank some milk. Our goal was to go see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace which took place at 11am. We got off the Tube no knowing where to go but decided to follow the masses of people that got off the Tube also. Turns out you should get there more than 15 minutes before if you want to see anything when its a holiday weekend. Thanks for nothing Rick Steve. We did get a couple videos trying to hold our phones as high as […]

Our First Full Day

This morning I woke up on the pull out couch to the sounds of a busy street in London. My dad went to the 24/7 convenient store down the street and bought toaster waffles, yogurt, oranges, and milk for breakfast. We all got ready and headed off for our appointment at the London Eye. The line moved pretty fast which was good. London has some very very good people watching opportunities, so waiting in line went pretty fast. The London Eye was really cool. It only stops for wheelchairs to get on so you walk onto a moving capsule. The […]

We Have Arrived

We have officially made it to London safely!!! Before we get to the fun stuff I have to back track to the time we left the house. When I got home from school I was sadly not greeted by a wagging tail at the door. My mom dropped Milo off that morning to the kennel. We are going to miss him but he will have a good time playing in the kitty pools the owner said they were going to get out that day. I finished packing up the last things into my suitcase and backpack. All of us were […]

Time is Ticking

As of right now, there are approximately 31 hours until flight 731 to London takes off and I haven’t¬†even started packing. I get stressed out even thinking about all the things I have to pack, how I am going to remember¬†all of them, and how I am going to fit everything into my 21″ suitcase. But everything is going to be fine because after my soccer game today and the essay I have to write I am going to turn up my favorite jams (Ed Sheeran at the moment) and knock it all out. Once the packing is out of […]
